The Belga Queen is one of Brussels’ most distinctive brasseries. Located in the former Hôtel de la Poste, it combines monumental architecture with a rich history. This grandeur also presented acoustic challenges : MonaVisa provided peace and comfort with solutions that respect and enhance the heritage.
In the oyster bar, MonaVisa created an illuminated acoustic wall featuring the iconic mermaid. Resembling a work of light art, it conceals high-quality sound insulation and creates a warm, intimate anteroom in harmony with the surrounding space.
In the central brasserie with its tall glass windows, MonaVisa integrated MonaTextiles Flax: acoustic islands and walls with a refined linen texture and subtle contour lighting. This creates a spacious feel, yet a calming sound.
A restoration you hear through what you don’t: Belga Queen remains a vibrant meeting place, but thanks to MonaVisa, you’ll mainly hear the silence. Everything is seamlessly integrated, true to the building’s DNA. Acoustics as subtlety , design as a bridge between past and present.
Each realisation is a dialogue between architecture and acoustics, where technology becomes invisible and experience becomes tangible.
Every space is unique. We’re happy to help you find the right acoustic and aesthetic solution for your interior.
