20 years of MonaVisa

MonaVisa is a pioneer in cold-installed polyester stretch ceiling and walls. The company is Belgium’s number one, combining visual tranquility with perfect acoustics. In 2021, Francis De Nolf and his wife, Riet De Brauwer, took over the business. “We continue to innovate and are ready for the future.”

Market leader in the world of stretch ceilings

For twenty years now, MonaVisa has been providing polyester ceiling and wall coverings.
A stretch ceiling or wall is made of cold-stretched polyester fabric. The fabric is fire-resistant, printable, and suitable for both new construction and renovation projects. It’s a creative and sustainable solution.

The possibilities of a stretch wall or ceiling are endless: “You don’t just dress up a space, our fabrics also improve the acoustics,” explains CEO Francis De Nolf. “Acoustics isn’t about sound, but about feeling. Good acoustics create a sense of calm and enhance performance. Unfortunately, this is still not a priority in many construction projects.”

By integrating design, lighting, acoustics, ventilation, and air conditioning, MonaVisa creates a complete, customized experience for the client. “We combine acoustics with visual tranquility,” says Francis De Nolf. “Behind the curtains, it’s teeming with technology, yet you still have the illusion of a plain wall or a sleekly painted design.”

MonaVisa is there for everyone. “Our clients are very diverse: from businesses and independent professionals to healthcare professionals, government agencies, and educational institutions. For example, we recently collaborated with Hotel La Réserve in Knokke, and in the Renson showroom, we installed an acoustic stretch ceiling no less than 90 meters long, a world first.” These are impressive references, but MonaVisa is also available to private individuals.

There are also many misconceptions about the cost. Did you know that a basic stretch ceiling is cheaper than plastered and painted drywall? Moreover, a stretch wall can often be installed in a single day, with little to no dust.

Ready for the future!

Peter Valcke founded the company in 2004, but when Francis De Nolf and his wife Riet De Brauwer took over the business in 2021, they had to deal with the aftermath of the coronavirus crisis. “Yet, that never stopped us. In fact, MonaVisa continues to grow!”

The company has four locations and delivers throughout Belgium. We have a team of around 30 employees with years of experience and a clear vision.

In the spring, we laid the foundation stone for our new location in Hof Ter Weze and for a show home at our home. We hope to move into the new buildings in early 2025. The showroom, offices, and warehouse will all be moving to the new building. It will be an acoustic experience center that will go beyond the average showroom.
